It’s all about the Animals

Welcome to week 4 of camp! This week our focus in on the many animals that live here at Bowers farm. From the very cute baby goats Brownie and Oreo, to the very popular pony time with Patches and Taffy our campers will interact with all the animals on the farm.

Time with Brownie and Oreo is a favorite among our campers. The baby goats are playful and friendly. They enjoy bouncing around the pen and climbing the the fences, each other, and even our campers! Campers will also be able to take the goats on a walk around the farm. Proper halter and handling skill are an important part of farm animal care.

Campers will get to interact with the horses and ponies on the farm through various activities this week. They will learn about measuring a horses’ height in hands, proper grooming, and caring for the horses. Our campers enjoy making our horses and ponies look their best!

Lets not forget about all the other animals on the farm including chickens, sheep, a pig, a peacock, and the many wild animals and insects that live on and around the farm. There is so much to learn and do on the farm. It’s going to be a great week!
