Gardening Workshops: Planting & Growing Garlic

Join Kate and her team to learn about regenerative gardening practices and how to implement them at home. Each class will cover a different topic and incorporate some hands-on learning. These workshops are designed for ages 16 - adult. New and experienced gardeners will enjoy expanding their knowledge and getting their hands dirty.

This class will take place in the production garden and participants will take home several bulbs of garlic for planting in their home garden. We’ll cover: 

• The different types of garlic 

• How to save garlic seed and prepare for planting

• When and how to plant and mulch garlic 

• How to harvest and cook with garlic scapes 

• When an how to harvest garlic

• How to cure garlic for long storage
